Federation, LLC is a newly formed corporation based in San Antonio Texas which
has entered into a joint venture with one of the largest textile mills in
the world for the single purpose of marketing American raised Alpaca fiber
to the commercial textile market world-wide.

Federation, LLC is owned by Fantasy Farm Alpacas, the oldest and largest Alpaca
breeder in Texas, having been established in 1991. Fantasy Farm Alpacas has
not only a large registered herd but also a non registered fleece herd of
males. In addition to normal breeding operations and sales, Fantasy Farm
Alpacas works aggressively in introducing entirely new Alpaca owners to the
industry by selling 12 -18 month old males as pets to families who have
never owned Alpacas. These families are taught how to care over their new
Alpacas. A Fantasy Farm news letter with health care tips is sent out to
each new family on a bi-monthly basis encouraging the new Alpaca pet owners
to visit Fantasy Farms and in turn a large majority of the new pet owners
do. This new program of creating NEW Alpaca owners was created in the fall
of 2007. Each weekend Fantasy Farm Alpacas sell these pet quality males at
events like County Fairs and Trade Days and so doing introduce new and
vital blood into our industry and the wonderful world of Alpacas. Some of
our new owners use their pet quality males only for pets, some as fiber
herds, and many as a starting point to falling in love with Alpacas and
starting a breeding herd, thus coming back to Fantasy Farm Alpacas to
purchase breeding females and herd sires, thus getting involved in AOBA. But
nonetheless, all of these new owners are introduced to the wonderful world
of Alpacas. That is important, for the more people who know and love
Alpacas, that excitement creates greater profitability for all Alpaca
breeders. This creation of new Alpaca owners in such large quantities in
turn grows our personal farm business and in turn allows Fantasy Farms to
purchase more animals from Alpaca farms across America. Year to date, in
approximately 8 months, Fantasy Farm Alpacas has sold approximately 200
Alpacas under this new program which we call “Create New Owners…Share the
Excitement!”
